Berry College Hosts Distinguished Author

The David James Poissant Prose Reading Series at Berry College hosted a talented author’s reading of his newest short story collection.

Patrick James Caoile shared his short story collection “Tales from Manila Ave.” This work highlights the experiences of Filipino immigrants. A multitude of experiences and coinciding emotions are explored and honored through the writings. His latest work was published by Sundress Publications.

Caoile is currently a visiting assistant professor at Hamilton College, where he teaches literature and creative writing. His projects have been recognized by Porter House Review, Solstice Literary Magazine, Chestnut Review, storySouth and Bright Flash Literary Review.

The David James Poissant Prose Reading Series was created at Berry when Dana Professor in English Creative Writing Sandra Meek began funding and support raising. Each year, two prose writers, one fiction and one non-fiction, participate by visiting and reading their own work.
